The Vision and Mission of St. Dominic Parish

United in God’s love, the faith community of St. Dominic Parish celebrating the presence of Christ in the spirit of faith and fellowship by full participation in the life of our parish community.

We, the faith community of Dominic Parish commits ourselves to:
- share our beliefs with all people through Eucharist, prayer, education and service.
- Encourage and assist in the faith development of others especially our young people through the Sacraments, Liturgy of the Word, and compassionate concern for all.

FOCAL POINT:   Why should human beings be holy? Because God is holy. Be perfect because God is perfect. Christians see their moral lives related to God. It is important to know what God thinks of morality. God’s ideas are best reflected in Jesus Christ.

Our announcements are:

  • Mass will be celebrated in Ripley on Sunday/today at 4:00 p.m. in Meeder’s Restaurant. Please think about joining us. We stay for a light dinner after Mass.

  • The Parish Pastoral Council will hold their next meeting on Monday, Feb. 24th at 7:00 p.m. in Westfield. If you have anything you would like discussed, please let Father know.

  • The Knights of Columbus will hold their next meeting on Monday, Feb. 24th at 7:30 p.m. in Westfield.

  • Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, is this Wednesday. There will be Mass and ashes at 9:00 a.m. in Brocton and at 7:00 p.m. in Westfield. There are books at the back of church for readings during Lent. Please take one.

  • The Legion of Mary will hold their gathering after the 7:00 p.m. Mass in Westfield on Wednesday.

  • There will be breakfast for everyone to attend after the 9:00 a.m. Mass in Brocton on Tuesday, March 3rd. All we ask is that you bring a dish to pass. Please plan to join us.

  • This is the last week to purchase lottery tickets which benefit NCCS. Please contact Debby.

  • We will be collecting returnable bottles and cans at both sites. There are containers marked for them. Please bring your rinsed returnable bottles and cans to help us raise money for Faith Formation and special projects. This will help you and us!

  • Please remember to pick up your envelopes after Mass.

  • Everyone, please congratulate Fr. Romy. The Diocese has extended his term with us as Parish Administrator for another six years. Congratulations Fr. Romy!
